After graduating with a BA in Fashion Marketing I decided I wanted to deep dive into the business world so set off gaining as much experience and knowledge as possible working in Events, CRM, Marketing and Sales roles until moving to SustainIt in 2018. I’m now able to be creative and forward-thinking in all aspects of my job. I am also really keen on personal development and am now embarking on studying for my MA in Brand Marketing alongside working full time. “You can’t use up creativity. I started working at SustainIt in June 2013, the day after I left Reading University after achieving a degree in Statistics. I have always enjoyed working with data and being able to be creative with some of its outputs and have really enjoyed working and building relationships with our lovely varied clients over the years.

Kobi Merrikin

Sustainability Data Manager

I have a degree in Marketing, Business and Economics from the University of Reading and experience working in the brewery industry before moving to SustainIt in 2020. I am passionate about helping small businesses start their sustainability journey as well as improving the global impact that our large clients have. My key skills include Excel and PowerBI as well as an in-depth knowledge of Enablon and UL360. I recently designed and developed the SustainIt Insights Calculator; an Excel based tool to record emissions data for small businesses

Oliver Boulton

System Support Manager

I have been working with SustainIt since June 2020 after achieving a BA in History.  I have a keen interest in technology, sustainability and protecting our planet. My passion lies in using historical data to determine future outcomes and how this can be applied to both environmental and business needs. With a background in hospitality management, I cherish the importance of customer relationships and I always look forward to getting to know my clients on a professional and personal level.

Ethan Venables

Project Manager

I find great purpose in proactively contributing to our transition to a more sustainable world. As Project Manager, I strive to leverage this drive and to deliver project value through strong communications and working relations, and a creative approach to problem-solving – alongside my past experience within smart energy tech. My eco-interests lie in circular economy, blockchain-integrated supply chains and, from a social science perspective, I’m intrigued by how employees make and give sense to their experiences of sustainability-focused change initiatives. My academic background spans a BA in Business Management with Marketing, and an MSc in Project and Operations Management.

Julia Anukam

For me, sustainability is about fundamentally reimagining our relationship with the natural world. After graduating with a BSc in Business Studies & Japanese, I worked in the travel industry for 3 years and developed my knowledge of sustainability by sitting on a sustainability committee. After completing my MSc Sustainability and Management degree, I was excited to join the market-leading experts at SustainIt in September 2021. I believe in future-proofing businesses and promoting meaningful and well-informed sustainability commitments. I aspire to use my diverse commercial background, sustainability knowledge and analytical skills to find win-win solutions for all our clients.

During a long and successful career in Hospitality, I developed a drive for high quality customer service and therefore developed excellent communication skills. After making the decision to move on in my career, I can now apply these skills to a sector I am most passionate about – IT. My tech savvy nature allows me to jump into many aspects of the business, with advice, support and contributions across many internal and external projects. Working for SustainIt is allowing me to learn more every day, both in the world of Sustainability and the ever-developing Tech world. I love working for a small, passionate, business with like-minded people, and helping other companies to meet their sustainability goals is a wonderful purpose to be a part of.
