SustainIt Does ITIL

SustainIt Does ITIL

01 December 2015 by Chris McDonald

Here at SustainIt we are always looking to improve not only our service to clients but also ourselves. With this in mind the team and I have really started to get involved in new learning and improving our knowledge on many aspects of sustainability.

With our knowledge ever expanding, we need to find the best way to pass these benefits on to the business and our customers so SustainIt has sent me on the ITIL Foundation course to see if we can all benefit from this best practice framework.

“Best Practice framework?!?”

Now, I know how I like to do things, and I am sure almost everybody else has that same idea, unfortunately, these different ideas can sometimes conflict and cause problems, especially in the workplace. This is where ITIL comes in, with its mix of structure and ideas allowing for completely fluid adoption of the varying elements available.

The whole point of ITIL is not a rigid and stringent framework that must be completely adhered too, it is a set of guidelines, designed to allow for adoption of the elements that would suit the business needs. Using best practice in this way means ITIL can really be useful for any IT Service Management or Service Delivery team to enhance their offering to both colleagues and clients alike.

“How do we get the benefits?”

By working with SustainIt, you will automatically gain the benefits of ITIL. As we develop our products and services using ITIL best practice guidelines, using the newly qualified members of staff to ensure compliance, you and your business will benefit from the enhanced services SustainIt will be able to offer.

After taking the ITIL course myself and understanding further the intricacies of IT Service Management, the products we can offer to our customers and clients will truly be enhanced.
